William Henry Middle School has 2 Guidance Counselors. Guidance Counselors spend two years with students by looping with an incoming class from 5th to 6th grade in 2 year cycles. For the upcoming school year, Mr. Carlton "Coach" Brown will be working with our incoming 5th graders. Ms. Jonyelle Smith will move up with her 5th graders to become the 6th grade counselor.
William Henry Middle School also has a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health named Nicole Taylor White. Mrs. Taylor is contracted by the Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health (DPBHS) as a Behavioral Health Consultant at William Henry Middle School. Services provided include mental/behavioral health screenings, groups, brief counseling, and helping families connect to various community resources. Referrals for services are usually provided by the WHMS Instructional Support Team, Dean of Students, school counselor, or school administrators. Parents are welcome to contact Mrs. Taylor directly with any questions they may have regarding the program or any general behavioral health concerns.
